President Donald Trump suggested on Saturday that George Soros should see jail time as his administration weighs a federal racketeering investigation into the Democratic megadonor and his family.

Trump issued his latest attack against Soros in an interview with NBC News, in which he said he “should be put in jail.”

“He’s a bad guy,” the president added of Soros.

Trump’s brief remark is the clearest indication yet that he will pursue an investigation into the Soros empire, which he has previously targeted over its “support of Violent Protests, and much more.”

“We’re not going to allow these lunatics to rip apart America any more, never giving it so much as a chance to ‘BREATHE,’ and be FREE. Soros, and his group of psychopaths, have caused great damage to our Country! That includes his Crazy, West Coast friends. Be careful, we’re watching you!” Trump posted on Truth Social last month.

The president has followed that earlier threat up with a pledge to “look into” Soros, which he made during a Fox and Friends appearance two days after Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

“Protesters get paid for their profession from Soros and other people,” Trump said on Friday. “And we’re going to look into Soros, because I think it’s a RICO case against him and other people. Because this is more than, like, protests. This is real agitation.”

The targeting of Soros comes as Trump has also vowed to “find each and every one of those who contributed” to the the killing of Kirk, as well as “other political violence.”

That statement came before a suspect was arrested in the killing of Kirk. Since then, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson has been taken into custody and is charged with murder, obstruction, and felony firearm charges after allegedly shooting Kirk from a nearby building while the right-wing activist was speaking at a college event in Utah.

While a motive is still unknown, officials are reportedly investigating left-wing groups in the state to see if they had knowledge of Robinson’s plans or if they gave material support to him after.

Earlier Saturday, it was revealed that Robinson’s roommate identifies as transgender. The individual has been cooperating with officials and initially showed the FBI text messages from Robinson about stashing a gun linked to the Kirk shooting.

According to Axios, authorities are also looking into whether Robinson believed Kirk’s views on gender identity were “hateful” to people who identify as transgender.
