Trump Dismisses Health Rumours: ‘Never Felt Better'

President Trump boasted Sunday that he has “never felt better” after days of online speculation about his health – and took the opportunity to tout a newly crime-free Washington, DC.

Trump bounced back onto Truth Social after a relatively quiet weekend while he was golfing at his resort in Virginia.

“NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE. Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE!” Trump wrote after the president took control of the DC Metropolitan Police Department.

Social media lit up with bizarre theories and morbid speculation about the president’s health days after several days without public events from the president.

Rumors that had been ruminating throughout the week were bolstered by a blank schedule released by the White House on Friday, and soon the hashtag “TrumpIsDead” was trending on X.

But the haters’ twisted hopes were quickly dashed once the president was seen on Saturday leaving for a round of golf alongside his granddaughter, Kai Trump, in Sterling, Va.

Even during Trump’s public hiatus, the crime crackdown in DC pressed on. Violent crime sank 45% compared to the same time last year. Crime overall dropped 15% — leading Democratic DC Mayor Muriel Bowser to admit to the improvement in her city.

“We greatly appreciate the surge of officers that enhance what MPD has been able to do in this city,” she said at a press conference last Wednesday.

Trump followed up his update on Truth Social with a series of early Labor Day celebrations in which he touted the strength of the US economy.
