Sex Trafficking Ring Busted: 10 Kids Rescued, 7 Arrested

At least ten children, from ages 2 to 15, were locked in an Alabama storm bunker and sexually tortured and trafficked by their parents for three years.

The adults used animal shock collars in their torture of the children. The children were drugged and tortured. Investigators believe there are more victims and perpetrators tied to the horrendous crime.

Alabama police arrested seven suspects in the trafficking ring. More arrests are expected.

According to WJTV – The Bibbs County Sheriff’s Office said some of the suspects are related, but other suspects are acquaintances or people who paid to victimize children.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Launches Investigation into Child Abuse

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division initiated an investigation on February 4, 2025, following concerns regarding the sexual abuse of children in an underground bunker located in Brent, Alabama.

During the course of the investigation, our Investigators conducted interviews that led to the arrest of William Chase McElroy, who is currently held in the Bibb County Jail facing serious charges including four counts of Rape in the First Degree, six counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree, six counts of Sodomy in the First Degree, and four counts of Kidnapping in the First Degree.

On April 25, 2025, investigators identified another suspect, Dalton Terrell, who was arrested and is presently in the Bibb County Jail, charged with six counts of Rape in the First Degree, twelve counts of Sodomy in the First Degree, and five counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree.

Following ongoing investigations, Andres Velazquez-Trejo was arrested on April 29, 2025, and is also being held in the Bibb County Jail on six counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree.

Sheriff Jody Wade expresses his appreciation for the diligent work executed by his office and emphasizes their ongoing commitment to this case. He extends gratitude to the Alabama Fusion Center for their exceptional assistance, our Bibb County Dispatchers for their help ,as well as to the Homeland Security Investigations Division. Sheriff Wade also commends the Bibb County Department of Human Resources for their critical role in protecting our children and acknowledges the Child Advocacy Center Forensic Interview Center in Centreville. Additionally, Sheriff Wade expresses his appreciation for the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office for their support in this case.

Sheriff Wade reiterates that such abhorrent behavior will not be tolerated in Bibb County and that offenders will face prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. As this is an ongoing case, details are currently limited.
