A man was arrested on Tuesday after brutally murdering a woman and hiding her body behind a dumpster.

48-year-old Brian Myers fatally shot 39-year-old Melissa Millspaugh and left her body behind a dumpster on Buckeye Road.

Melissa Millspaugh was a mother of two children. Investigators have not provided any details about the murder.

It is unclear if Myers and Millspaugh knew each other.

“Dispatch audio from the scene reveals that the incident was classified as a Code 1 for felonious assault. Officers were directed to respond immediately after a call taker reported hearing that a female was possibly deceased. “I got a Code 1, felonious assault, East 128 and Buckeye. Call taker states that there is a female deceased,” the dispatcher announced over the radio,” Cleveland 13 reported.

“An anonymous caller reported hearing a gunshot but could not identify the shooter or provide additional details. “The call, anonymous caller heard her shot, unknown who shot her,” the dispatcher said. “Deceased female? Yes, that’s what it’s coming down as. Female deceased,”” the outlet reported.

Witnesses stated seeing a man and a woman, later identified as Melissa Millspaugh, walk behind a dumpster, and only the man emerged.

Myers is being held on a $750,000 bond, according to WKYC.

Myers was charged with aggravated murder and is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing this week.

“Melissa Ann Millspaugh age 39. Beloved mother of Ariana Buckingham and Vanessa Millspaugh. Loving daughter of Eric and Barbara Ortiz. Dearest sister of Rachel, Erica, Joshua, Joseph, Samantha and Eric. Dear Aunt, niece, cousin and friend of many. We tragically lost you, but you will always be in our hearts,” Melissa Millspaugh’s obituary read.

“This is not goodbye, we will see you later. Rest in peace we love you,” the obituary said.
