The funeral for conservative activist Charlie Kirk is scheduled for Sept. 21 at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals — and President Trump has already promised to attend.

Turning Point USA invited supporters to join them “in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend,” whose “life was a testament to faith, courage, and conviction.”

Trump said Friday he was going to attend the funeral after addressing the nation Wednesday night in an emotional tribute.

“To my great fellow Americans, I am filled with grief and anger at the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk on a college campus in Utah,” he said in a four-minute video posted Wednesday to his Truth Social.

Kirk, 31, was shot and killed Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University as part of his American Comeback tour, launching a multi-day manhunt that ended with the arrest of alleged assassin Tyler Robinson on Friday.

The president had ordered all American flags to fly at half-staff from Wednesday until Sunday at 6 p.m.

His widow, Erika Kirk, sobbed and held the hand of her departed husband lying in an open casket, photos she posted to social media on Saturday showed.

“I love you, I love you, I know, I miss you so much,” said the grieving wife and only parent now of a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son.

“They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife. If they thought my husband’s mission was big now,” she added in a caption. “You have no idea.”

“The world is evil,” she also wrote on social media. “The sound of this widow weeping echoes throughout this world like a battle cry. I have no idea what any of this means. But baby I know you do and so does our Lord.”

The couple had married in 2021.

Vice President JD Vance and second lady Usha Vance flew out to Utah to retrieve Kirk’s body on Friday and joined Erika in transporting it back to the young family’s home state of Arizona.

Kirk’s spouse has promised to continue her husband’s mission at TPUSA, announcing Friday that their campus tour will continue throughout the fall.

“There will be even more tours in the years to come,” she said. “The movement is not going anywhere, and it will only grow stronger when you join it.”
