GoFundMe and GiveSendGo campaigns have been launched to support a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jonathan Ross involved in the shooting of a woman during a law enforcement operation in Minneapolis that resulted in her death.

The fundraiser describes the officer as brave after he acted “to stop a deadly attack.” The campaign says the officer was engaged in a federal immigration enforcement action when “their vehicles got stuck in the snow” and an individual weaponized her car against him.

“One American hero ICE officer didn’t hesitate,” the fundraiser says, noting that he “fired in self-defense to neutralize the threat, saving lives and upholding the law.”

Federal officials, including Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, have defended the officer’s actions, noting he acted in self-defense after being struck by the vehicle and that his response was justified. DHS has called the incident a violent attack on law enforcement officers. State and local officials dispute this, with some witnesses saying the woman’s vehicle was turning away when shots were fired. Video evidence does not support this.

The campaign exists “to support any of our ICE hero’s personal costs, family protection, and anything else related to this righteous act of duty.” Supporters on the page describe the officer as a defender of the rule of law. The campaign also calls critics and politicians opposed to ICE “want to let invaders overrun us unchecked,” and pledges that donations are a way to “send a message that we back the men removing illegals and invaders from our soil.”

The woman who was shot has been identified as Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident who, according to reporting by the New York Post, participated in local “ICE Watch.”

Who is Jonathan Ross?

The ICE agent who fatally shot protester Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis is a Trump-supporting Christian and war veteran who has a Filipina wife, according to his family.

Jonathan Ross, 43, has been identified as the agent who opened fire on Good on Wednesday after the feds allege she tried to mow him down with her SUV on the suburban street.

As anti-ICE protests erupted across the country and Democratic leaders ramped up their divisive rhetoric in the wake of the shooting, the agent’s family rushed to his defense, telling the Daily Mail “you would never find a nicer, kinder person.”

“He’s a committed, conservative Christian, a tremendous father, a tremendous husband. I couldn’t be more proud of him,” said his dad, Ed Ross.

The Iraq War veteran married his wife, who hasn’t been identified publicly, in 2012.

His in-laws are doctors who live in the Philippines, the outlet reported.

Ross’ dad said his son’s wife was a US citizen but wouldn’t say how long she had been in the country.

Ross is believed to have worked as an ICE agent since at least 2013.

Based in Minneapolis full-time, he is a member of the ICE ERO Special Response Team, a specially trained tactical unit, law enforcement sources told The Post.

The details on Ross’ background emerged after it was revealed he’d had a run-in with an illegal immigrant in Bloomington, Minnesota, last June that saw him dragged 100 yards during a traffic stop.

ICE agents had conducted a traffic stop on Roberto Carlos Munoz, a serial illegal immigrant from Guatemala with a lengthy rap sheet, records show.

Ross broke the back driver’s side window after Munoz refused to exit his vehicle when officers approached his car.

The suspect then sped away with Ross’ arm caught between the seat and the car frame — dragging him more than 100 yards, the Justice Department said at the time.

He was hospitalized with “significant injuries to his arm and hand” requiring 33 stitches, but made a full recovery, according to the feds.
