California: 2 Injured in Black Friday Mall Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that injured three people at a shopping mall in Northern California on the evening of Black Friday.

San Jose police said the three victims were located around 5:40 p.m. inside the Westfield Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, just west of downtown San Jose, and were transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.

Police said all three victims have non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting appears to be an isolated incident and was not an active shooter situation, according to police.

Law enforcement sources tell ABC News that it appears there was some kind of argument, and the shooter opened fire on the victims. Investigators believe the shooter was at the mall with women who had strollers, and they all took off after the shooting.

At last check, the suspect had not been found. Police did not immediately release the suspect's name.

Video from our sister station in San Francisco shows crowds of Black Friday shoppers evacuating the mall. Cellphone video from inside shows a chaotic scene as shoppers scrambled, trying to get out of the mall.

Another video shows shoppers evacuating a store with their hands up as they walk down escalators and in a single file line out of the store, listening ot the orders of officers trying to clear one of the Bay Area's largest shopping centers.
