Vance Boelter's Hit List: 60+ Democrats

A local media outlet in Minnesota has reportedly been provided the names on a potential “hit list” found in the vehicle of the man accused of killing Minnesota House Democrat leader Melissa Hortman and her husband.

Law enforcement authorities over the weekend confirmed that they found “a list of names and addresses of other public officials” in the vehicle of the suspect, Vance Boelter, who was arrested Sunday night and charged with murder.

A list posted by Alpha News investigative reporter Liz Collin includes the names of dozens of elected Democrats, including Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, the state’s attorney general, Keith Ellison, and Planned Parenthood executives. It also includes Hortman’s name, though state Sen. John Hoffman (D), who was also allegedly shot by Boelter, does not appear to be on the list, which has some redactions.

“The contents of Vance Boelter’s ‘hit list’ have been provided to Alpha News,” Collin posted to X early Monday morning. “More than 60 Democrat leaders appear on it along with abortion clinics.”

Collin added that the images she shared were “a typed version that was distributed to law enforcement, not the original copy.”

Asked why the original pages were not shared, Collin responded that law enforcement “was given this list as they worked to provide security for the last 48 hours for these people and places.”

Police said Boelter’s vehicle contained “at least three AK-47 assault rifles, a 9mm handgun, as well as a list of names and addresses of other public officials. Officers canvassed the surrounding area and located a ballistic vest, a disassembled 9mm firearm, a mask, and a gold police-style badge.”

As previously reported by The Daily Wire, Boelter also had anti-Trump “No Kings” protest flyers in his vehicle. “No Kings” is a reference to nationwide left-wing protests taking place on Saturday to object to President Donald Trump.

“When we did a search of the vehicle, there was a manifesto that identified many lawmakers and other officials. We immediately made alerts to the state. We took action on alerting them and providing security where necessary,” Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley said.

Additionally, Boelter was appointed to Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz’s Workforce Development Council in 2019.

Boelter has been charged with killing Hortman and her husband after posing as a police officer and in the shootings of Democratic state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife. After the attack on Hortman, he allegedly traveled to the home of state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, again posing as law enforcement. Hoffman and his wife were reportedly shot numerous times, but are expected to survive.

President Donald Trump — himself a target of at least two assassination attempts — issued a post to Truth Social on Saturday condemning political violence.

“I have been briefed on the terrible shooting that took place in Minnesota, which appears to be a targeted attack against State Lawmakers,” he said. “Our Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and the FBI, are investigating the situation, and they will be prosecuting anyone involved to the fullest extent of the law.”

“Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America,” Trump added. “God Bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place!”
