Peter Doocy: Trump Will ‘Sell or Give Away’ His Tesla

The red Tesla that President Donald Trump bought off Elon Musk during a White House spectacle in March, as the automaker’s stock tanked, is now set to be sold or given away amid an epic feud between the two billionaires, according to Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy.

Speaking on Fox & Friends Thursday morning, Doocy said the car that Trump picked out during the Tesla event on the South Lawn remains in a White House driveway — but perhaps not for long.

“We’re told that that Tesla, the red Tesla with Florida tags, is either going to be given away or sold off,” Doocy said.

The Tesla promotion was held as outrage grew over Musk’s controversial cost-cutting measures at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which saw Teslas being firebombed and the company’s stock price take a nosedive.

During the event, Trump lamented that even after buying the Tesla, he wouldn’t be able to drive it.

Doocy also revealed that the falling out between Trump and Musk is anything but sudden, as tensions had been simmering for about a month.

He also shot down reports that Trump and Musk were to speak by phone on Friday.

“Aides are telling me that is not something they are tracking,” Doocy said. “It’s possible that some staffers might try to talk to Musk, but no Trump and Musk call at least not that we know about.”
